Chelation Therapy

by Dr. Raj Rakhra
Chelation Therapy is a safe and effective
method of drawing toxins and metabolic wastes from the blood stream.
The chelating agents administered intravenously have been proven
to increase blood flow and remove arterial plaque. This treatment
can also help reverse arteriosclerosis, prevent heart attacks
and strokes.
Every organ in your body depends on your circulatory system. Typical
problematic manifestations in this system result from a partial
blockage of the arteries. Chelation therapy has been used safely
and successfully to treat millions of patients in the US for the
past fifty years.
There are thousands of physicians who recommend and use Chelation
therapy for cardiovascular disease and related health problems,
following the treatment protocol set by the American College of
Advancement in Medicine and the American Board of Chelation Therapy.
Chelation Therapy is administered on an out patient basis. It
is painless and takes approximately three hours. For heart disorders
physicians recommend twenty to thirty infusions for the optimum
results, treatments are given one to three times per week. The
frequency and the total number of doses will be given according
to the disease, the age, and the condition of the patient. The
main chelator EDTA is an amino acid that is absorbed by the body
in the lowest quantities and 95 to 98 percent is eliminated in
twenty-four hours after its administration and the balance in
48 hours. The kidneys mainly carry out the elimination. It is
important to note that EDTA is a safe substance and not a toxic
agent. At the end of the chelation treatment, the patient will
leave the office and will be able to go on with his daily routine.
Most patients experience an improvement starting from the fifth
to seventh treatment.
We do a thorough medical examination and necessary lab tests before
starting the Chelation treatment and regular patient evaluations
are ongoing. In our clinic individual care is important; as many
patients may have symptoms, their Psycho & biochemical individuality
may be quite different, and so should their treatment protocol.
Beside Chelation many other intravenous treatments including Vitamin
C, Vitamins & Minerals, Homeopathic Boluses, Dmso/Dmps, Hydrogen
peroxide infusions and ozone treatments, general detoxification
and all naturopathic services are offered. We put emphasis on
the individual patients needs, along with the standard protocols
combining the best of all treatment modalities. A low fat diet
of whole foods and appropriate exercise are strongly encouraged,
a carefully tailored program of vitamins and nutritional supplements
will be recommended. Smoking is strongly discouraged, and alcohol
should only be consumed in moderation.
Celation treatment is extremely important in three medical areas:
1. Circulatory obstruction such as arteriosclerosis or hardening
of the arteries.
2. Abnormal calcium deposits, found in arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis,
bone spurs and osteoarthrits.
3. Toxins due to heavy metals, post chemotherapy, drug addiction,
alcoholism.
Due to its effect on these three categories, we can confirm that
chelation has definite benefits for the following disorders:
Although damage from the effects of hardening of the arteries
may become obvious in a sudden heart attack the underlying process
of hardening of the arteries and degeneration will have been developing
for years in your arteries.
There are many warning signs to look for especially after the
age of forty to seventy years, when heart attacks are known to
occur more frequently. Deposits of cholesterol in the liver, hardening
of the arteries, angina pectoris (heart pain), heart attack or
imminent heart attack - treatment and prevention, cardiac contractions
and poor cardiac function, arterial embolism, calcifications of
cardiac valves, osteoporosis. Acute and chronic lead & other
heavy metal intoxication. The control of diabetes & resulting
complications, necrotic ulcer, claudicating, impaired blood supply
to the legs and feet, osteoarthritis, rheumatic arthritis, and
all other arthritis, high blood pressure, blurred vision that
comes on sporadically such as transient ischemic attack - a short
lived type of local obstruction to the blood supply in the brain.
Shortness of breath that causes distress when walking with the
need to stop frequently to rest, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue,
impaired intellectual functions, loss of concentration, memory.
All these symptoms are effectively treated with Chelation therapy.
Remember two out of five heart attacks result in sudden death
often without previous warning. You should take action if you
have any of these symptoms. For free information on Chelation
or any other therapies we offer in our clinic, please call our
